Copywriting & Editing Portfolio
As an editor, communications strategist, consultant, and editorial director, I’ve supported clients in the health, technology, education, outdoor, nonprofit and legal sectors with ideating and executing newsletters, blogs, white papers, web copy, op-eds, and more. I specialize in thought leadership, LGBTQ+ perspectives, and health equity, and am adept at a range of content—from long-form researched reports, to SEO-driven blog posts. See samples below.

within health newsletter
Within Health is a trauma-informed telehealth company specializing in eating disorder treatment, with a focus on LGBTQ+ communities and other marginalized populations. In 2023, I helped to relaunch their newsletter with the goal of appealing to a broader audience. For the following year, I produced their monthly newsletter — which acheived an average open rate of 40 percent. The newsletter, which was read by activists, journalists, clients, and providers, shared updates on workshops and conferences, and curated a round-up of relevant news articles, personal essays, and other media items.

themis website
Themis is a women-founded, women-run trial attorney group, based in Chicago that operates out of Hale & Monico, America’s Justice Attorneys. I wrote the copy for Themis’ website—with a focus on explaining their mission and who they support. My writing helped Themis better convey their important mission of supporting women, people who experience gender-based discrimination, and those who fight on our behalf. Resourcing the HIV community report
In my capacity as a Communications Strategist for Springboard HealthLab, I led the editorial process for this white paper on resourcing the HIV community to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic. The report compiles findings from seminars and research conducted by myself and two organizations under Springboard HealthLab’s fiscal sponsorship, Long COVID Justice and Strategies for High Impact. After reading our report, AIDS United put out the following call to action: “Vigilance in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic is essential to ensure the health and well-being of those of us living with HIV. Even as we approach the tragic milestone of 1 million COVID-related deaths in the United States, there is still much to learn about COVID-19, including the impacts of long COVID and the impact of COVID-19 breakthrough infections. This is especially true for people living with HIV. Elected officials must do everything in their power to prevent future infections and take care of those experiencing long COVID, and we as a community must work to hold them accountable.”

Clarity Therapy blog
Clarity Therapy is a boutique psychotherapy practice in New York City, with a focus on supporting LGBTQ+ clients. I worked on content development for Clarity Therapy’s blog launch, by writing pieces under my own name and supporting their therapists in executing their own blog posts. You can see a sample of my work to the right, and you can read the blog here.

A social innovator who has pioneered the youth mental health movement, he created the first national youth mental health speaker’s bureau, a program that has inspired millions to address their mental health. I helped Ross reach his target audience—young people—through ideating, editing and supporting in the execution of this op-ed for Teen Vogue in 2022.
